A few days ago, with the theme of "spreading Chinese and Russian culture and sharing a new chapter of friendship", the Sino-Russian Youth Exchange Month kicked off in zhejiang international studies university Hong Wen Pavilion.
Zhao Wenbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of zhejiang international studies university, attended and delivered speeches. Vladimir Zernov, President of the Russian New University, and Innara A. Guseinova, Vice President of Moscow State Language and Culture University, delivered speeches by video.
Zhao Wenbo said that Sino-Russian friendship goes back to ancient times, and the young people of the two countries are hand in hand and learn from each other. The school launched a series of activities of Sino-Russian Youth Exchange Month, aiming to build an important platform for Sino-Russian youth language and cultural exchanges, further deepen Sino-Russian civilization exchanges and mutual learning, and collide and gather more wisdom. The activity also carried out "Joint Classroom" and "Joint Curriculum" for Chinese and Russian students, which promoted extensive exchanges, all-round exchanges and in-depth integration of young people, further played the role of cultural education with diversified activities and interactive experiences, cultivated Chinese and Russian students’ international understanding and cross-cultural communication ability, promoted civilized exchanges and mutual learning, and shared a new chapter of friendship.
Vladimir Zernov said that the China-Russia Youth Exchange Month, as a link between Russia’s new universities and Zhejiang, promotes in-depth exchanges between young people of the two countries in culture and education in an innovative way. I hope to carry out more levels of cooperation with Zhejiang and promote cultural exchanges and interaction between China and Russia.
Innara A. Guseinova said that Moscow State Language University has carried out exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries in Zhejiang for more than ten years, hoping to take this Sino-Russian Youth Exchange Month as an opportunity to further strengthen the exchanges between teachers and students between the two universities and further cooperate in academic exchange projects.
This Sino-Russian Youth Exchange Month will focus on "Creating Translation Courses and Spoken English Courses", and hold a series of activities such as "China Painting Series of Past Dynasties", "Chinese and Russian students entering classes together", Russian drama dubbing contest, and Sino-Russian Amoy Exhibition, so as to promote educational cooperation and exchanges between students of the two countries, broaden international educational horizons and enhance mutual friendship. At the same time, we will actively build a dual platform of "China’s traditional culture and foreign language culture", actively cultivate students’ cross-cultural communication ability, further tell the story of China, spread the voice of China, and deepen the exchanges and mutual learning between the two civilizations.
At the opening ceremony, a pairing activity between Chinese and Russian students was also held. Xie Zheng, a 2020 Russian major, shared his experience of communication in Russia. Chinese and Russian students brought Russian classic songs Katyusha, сансара, China folk dance Spring Breeze, poetry recitation "I once loved you", "If life deceived you" and wonderful programs such as guzheng, guqin and China tea ceremony performances. Russian students and students from outside Zhejiang also created couplets together.
