After that, the subsequent open operation will be carried out.
Another Taiwanese media reported that there were rumors on the Internet in Taiwan Province recently, and this repair was done by the local government at the request of Xiamen Tourism Bureau in mainland China. But the Kinmen authorities denied this statement.

Taiwan Province’s "United News Network" reported the details of the rumor on the 19th: Kinmen is located in Dadan Island and Erdan Island in the southwest of Kinmen Island, only 4.4 kilometers away from Xiamen, which is the front line of Taiwan military defense and is regarded as a military restricted area all the year round. The most famous on the island is the psychological warfare wall "Three People’s Principles Unify China", which has become a must-see attraction for tourists looking at Xiamen’s "One Country, Two Systems Unify China".
"Joint News Network" said that because you can easily see each other through a telescope, some netizens recently said on Facebook that the relevant authorities in Xiamen called the Jinmen National Army to help refresh it because "tourists like to see this scenic spot but can’t see it clearly" and said that they would "prepare a big gift to thank them" another day, while the Jinmen Taiwan military responded by sending someone to brush it immediately.

In response to this rumor, Chen Meiling, director of the Golden Gate Tourism Office, said that "there is no such thing", saying that the Tourism Office had asked Taiwan’s "Army Golden Gate Defense Command" and the other side had not called.Chen Meiling said that after Dadan Island was taken over by Jinmen County Government on June 30, 2014, some soldiers were stationed, but most of them were maintained by the county government, "and the facilities will not be ruined". After proper renovation, it will be open for sightseeing in the second half of this year at the earliest.

The Tourism Office of the county government also stated that in response to the development of tourism construction in Kinmen area and in combination with the policy of "elite troops of the national army", the county government has actively strived to open up Dadan Island and Erdan Island to the "Executive Yuan" and the "Ministry of National Defense" since May 2012.
On June 30th, 2014, after the county government officially took over the Daejeon Island, it began to plan the whole construction of the software and hardware facilities of Daejeon Island as a preparation for opening sightseeing. Dadan Island was originally scheduled to open for sightseeing in July 2015, but it was postponed again and again for some reason.
The Tourism Office of Jinmen County Government said today that in 2015, the infrastructure renovation project of Dadan Island has been completed, and the facilities such as Shengming Hall, waiting room for tourists and ammunition warehouse have been repaired as offices for police, shore patrol and county government administrative personnel. In addition, three 100KW generators, two 60KW generators, two seawater desalination machines and pipeline facilities have been added, with a total planned expenditure of about NT$ 50 million (about RMB 10.86 million), and the project has been completed and accepted.
However, due to the devastating typhoon Moranti in Jinmen last September, trees on Dadan Island fell and facilities were damaged, which delayed the opening of Dadan Island for sightseeing. The Tourism Office said that in order to avoid affecting the related operations during the preparation period of Dadan Island, it actively handled the related post-disaster reconstruction and wind-fallen wood cleaning. At present, the cleaning has been initially completed and the facilities will continue to be repaired.

In line with the preparations for opening sightseeing, the county government has also carried out renovation and Gu ‘an projects for the existing tourist attractions in Dadan Island, such as Beishan Guoqitai, Stone Monument Group, Shenquan Tea House, Mingwei Park, Bei ‘an Temple, etc. The related renovation project was completed in January, with a planned funding of about NT$ 30 million (about RMB 6.52 million) and is expected to be completed in June.
The exterior lighting department also said that this year, Shengming Hall will be transformed into a travel service center in Dadan Island, and some spaces will be planned as a cultural and creative commodity display area and a sales area. It will also promote the tourism marketing and cultural and creative commodity development of Dadan Island and Lieyu Jumping Island, and connect Dadan Island, Erdan Island and Lieyu Island in series to form a belt-shaped sightseeing tour, which will drive the development of tourism and economic benefits in Lieyu area.
