The ultra-Yue car jointly carried by Geely and Baidu seems to be like a frustrated genius in ancient times. The overall strength of the first model, the ultra-Yue 01, is not bad, but it doesn’t sell well. But obviously, it is not yet time to be discouraged, and the second model of Extreme Vietnam, Extreme Vietnam 07, is coming soon.
In terms of appearance, the Extreme Yue 07 adopts a family-style design style, the front face adopts a closed air intake grille, and the light groups on both sides are connected by U-shaped daytime running lights. The front face of the whole vehicle also has good recognition. In addition, the dual lidar is located inside the light groups on both sides of the front bumper. The official said that the new car is equipped with intelligent AI pixel headlights and voice functions inside and outside the car, and it is also equipped with pure visual high-order intelligent driving technology.
On the side of the car body, the Extreme Yue 07 adopts a sliding back coupe design, and the waistline is straight and sharp, extending to the taillights on both sides, with a strong sense of movement. The equipped intelligent induction electric door adopts doorknob-less design, and the door can be opened/closed not only by intelligent induction, voice inside/outside the car, Bluetooth and physical keys outside the car, but also by stepping on the brake pedal to automatically close the door.
In the rear part, the Extreme Yue 07 adopts a sliding tailgate design, which can provide more ample trunk space. At the same time, it is also equipped with a liftable sports tail, which can be adjusted automatically or manually. When the vehicle speed reaches above 95km/h, the tail will automatically rise, which will enhance the downforce and reduce the drag coefficient.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4953×1989×1475mm and the wheelbase is 3013 mm.
As for the interior, the Extreme Yue 07 adopts the family-style design style and is equipped with a 35.6-inch 6K penetrating large screen, in which all the entertainment functions such as dashboard, central control and co-pilot are integrated in the screen, which can be displayed in dual-screen, triple-screen and full-screen. At the same time, the Extreme Yue 07 is also equipped with a U-shaped half-width steering wheel, which simplifies the physical keys to the greatest extent and cancels the traditional left and right levers.
At the same time, the new car has no gear, and it is expected that the shift operation will be completed in the screen. In addition, in the lower part of the central control, we see the words D, P and R, which are expected to be spare shift buttons.
The new car cockpit is equipped with a fully open and empowered intelligent cockpit system with Baidu AI big model technology ecology, and is equipped with 8295 car chips. SIMO, an intelligent voice assistant, is deeply integrated with Baidu ERNIE Bot 4.0 model, which provides a more natural, smooth and logical human-computer interaction experience.
In terms of other configurations, the new car is also equipped with ROBO SOUND liftable "Juxing Stage" speaker, 3-zone air conditioning system, seat breathing gooseneck lamp, 7-inch rear display screen, starship surrounded by flowing water atmosphere lamp, wireless charging and so on. It is also equipped with a 1.96㎡ large panoramic canopy, which claims to support "99.9% ultraviolet isolation and 99.1% infrared isolation".
In terms of power endurance, the Extreme Yue 07 is equipped with the motor provided by Weirui Electric Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd., and the high-equipped model is a double motor, and the standard version is a single motor with a peak power of 200 kW. In terms of battery configuration, the 71.4 kWh battery model of Extreme Yue 07 has a pure electric cruising range of 660 kilometers, while the cruising range of 100 kWh battery model has two options: 770 kilometers (four-wheel drive) and 880 kilometers (rear drive).
In addition, as an ultra-Yue brand vehicle, the intelligent driving system of the ultra-Yue 07 naturally adopts Baidu Apollo intelligent driving system. As one of the earliest technology companies that began to study autonomous driving, Baidu did not adopt the mixed scheme of lidar+vision, but directly adopted the intelligent driving scheme of pure vision. Judging from the performance of the ultra-Yue 01, the intelligent driving performance of the ultra-Yue 07 should be more excellent and sophisticated.
